End of 2025 Holiday Season & Happy New Year

End of 2025 Holiday Season & Happy New Year

Here at Christmas Décor and Picture Perfect Landscape, we pride ourselves on making our community’s holiday a magical season. We are so proud to be a part of our great community of Hebron and Glastonbury, Connecticut including some other local towns. As the 2026 year starts, we wanted to share our gratitude and to thank you for your support and patience over the past year. We are so appreciative of our clients, friends, and family and extend our warmest holiday wishes to all!

What we love the most is our relationships with our clients and the trust that is given each season even more now since the last few years of uncertainty and post Covid. Our team is always inspired by the creativity and love of the holidays our clients have that we are so fortunate to work with. Christmas Décor by Picture Perfect Landscapes couldn’t be here if it weren’t for our amazing clients, who’ve become like family 🙂

1/19/26 UPDATE: Due to the recent snowstorms and freezing temperatures over the past week we ask for your patience as our crews continue to work diligently and safely to remove the decorations. Our crews started holiday removals the first full week of January and but had to stop at the end of January due to the accumulation of heavy snow and ice. Once things start melting again and temperatures stay above freezing the takedowns will resume. SAFETY FIRST. We appreciate everyone's patience since it's been artic temperatures and snow covered for weeks and this hasn't happened in almost 10 years. Each year crews install for 10-12 weeks in the fall from October to December and we are now in the process of removing, mapping and storing all the decorations.  We ask that you simply unplug your timers and leave everything outside for crews to remove. Everyone is on a list based off last season's unplug date and if you are a new client this season, Kim has contacted you directly to confirm when you will be unplugging decorations, so she has scheduled accordingly.

We simply cannot take down everyone at once, so we ask for your patience this time of year as we work on removing over 180 locations over January and into early February. Safety first and also places with greenery will take priority over those with just lights. If any questions or concerns, please contact our office 860-228-3915 or Kim directly by cell 860-250-5171 or email.

REMINDER: We are already taking requests for next season and offering incentives for prepaying and monthly installment plans for existing and new clients...Call if interested in this for next season.

Also, landscape maintenance packages are being prepared and will be arriving by February for Spring 2026 including landscape assessments for pruning, cleanups, mulching and other outdoor projects to start off our landscape season beginning of March. We look forward to sharing many more holidays with you, for years to come. Thank you, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a very Happy New Year! See you in 2026!

How to Safely Install Decorations and Lights

How to Safely Install Decorations and Lights

Halloween is over and looking forward to November! But while most people will be preparing to trim the turkey, the team at Christmas Décor by Picture Perfect Landscape are busy trimming houses and trees! Picture Perfect Landscape has been busy since early September prepping/installing to create custom Christmas displays. If you’re considering tackling a holiday display this year, be sure you know how to safely install your lighted decorations. Here is a quick link with additional tips from Eversource: Holiday Light Safety 2020. Our Christmas Décor elves have also devised this quick safety overview below to help you!

Make sure to secure extension cords to the ground to prevent any Christmas carolers from tripping. Any plugs that are outside should be kept elevated to keep the rain from getting in. A great trick is to use a brick or rock to lift the plug from the ground. You should throw out last year’s Christmas lights too. Old Christmas lights or cords that have been in use for many years can be a fire hazard. How can you be sure your lights are safe to use? Plug in your lights and if they rapidly heat up, it’s time to throw them out.

Secondly, make sure you’re only using Christmas decorations and extension cords that are made specifically for outdoor use. Indoor lights and especially indoor cords are not designed to withstand winter weather conditions. The cold and the rain could cause irreparable damage to these decorations and also cause short circuits and fires. It’s a great idea to double-check your Christmas lights and decorations to make sure they can withstand the outdoors.

If you do have to use a ladder, use a utility belt and have a helper. That way, you’ll only have to make one trip for your tools, lessening the chance of a fall. Make sure you are using hooks and hangers designed for putting up lights and for outdoor use.  Because nails, screws, and pins can damage your home, these hooks provide a safer and more durable alternative.

We all love to decorate our homes for the holidays so check out the services offered Christmas Décor by Perfect Perfect Landscape. Our Full Service Program includes initial design and electrical layout, professional installation of our lights and decor, maintenance during season, and removal/storage after the holidays are done so don’t worry about clearing out the garage 🙂

How Our Full Service Holiday Program Works

Our products are all high quality and commercial grade that will last through many Holiday seasons. Top of the line LED roof lights and mini lights in warm white, multi color, or solid color. Realistic artificial garland and wreaths, colorful bows and daytime accents like pine cones and berries. Everything is setup on a timer so that you can safely enjoy the holidays if you are out and about shopping or away visiting friends. No longer will you have to jump out of bed because you forgot to shut them off. The lights will go on and off each day as programmed so you can enjoy the holidays. Save energy too by not having them on all day and night.

Christmas Decor by Picture Perfect Landscape provides service visits to insure your light display is in top shape and if you have any problems a service professional is just a phone call away. Share the Gift of Lights this season with your neighbors, family and friends. Your home will be the envy of the neighborhood with a design from Christmas Decor by Picture Perfect Landscape.

October Update and start of 2025 Holiday Services

October Update and start of 2025 Holiday Services

NOTE: As a friendly reminder we have shut down our landscape services for this year and have transitioned into our FALL and holiday decorating services early in case of any storms causing rain and high winds so we can stay on schedule. If you have any major renovation projects like walkways, patios, and plantings they will have to wait until spring. Please take photos, videos and measurements while snow-free so we can work on budgets, design and landscaping estimates in late winter (February-April) as we wait for the snow to melt.

For a limited time, we offer clients the fall leaves and bows for autumn to Thanksgiving and then we switch out the decorations to Christmas. Like getting twice the decorations for the same early price. Below is an example.

Holiday Service Renewals started back in September for all Existing Christmas Clients. The deadline for early renewal and deposits is October 31. After this date our Pricing will increase, and schedule availability may be impacted. This will be our 26th season of holiday lighting and decorating and it always surprises me when I start receiving new inquiries in the summer requesting pricing and availability. Must be all the Christmas in July sales being advertised or seeing the holiday products already being sold on QVC. Plus, Hallmark and Lifetime put out all their holiday movies too lol. Check out our Holiday Lighting and Decorating Services

Reminder that it's never too early to start planning for the fall and upcoming winter holidays. We've been designing holiday quotes and scheduling since July so now's the time to contact us if you are planning a holiday event and need some professional help. Every year we anticipate high demand and limited availability due to the short window of time during the holidays so the sooner you can contact us the better before we are booked up. UPDATE 11/8/25 Currently scheduling after THANKSGIVING installations.

NOTE:  Crews completing ladder re-training and refresher classes as well as switch over all our trailers/trucks to prepare for the busy weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year 2026. Landscape estimates, consultations and designing will start up again in February/March 2026. We are currently installing early fall displays and holiday re-installations that start in October and continue into the busy Thanksgiving weekend and then Christmas and New Year. We have some limited availability for new clients each year due to high demand and weather conditions so contact us early for more info and current availability which changes daily.
